How to make your photo clickable like theirs in facebook ads

Yes - exactly. Those 2 little shopping bag icons you see on the bikini top and bottom in your screenshot - those are Facebook Product Tags, that's what makes the photo clickable.

That's not edited onto the photo, it's a Facebook feature. Here's how you add it to your own ad:

How to make your photo clickable like theirs:

That clickable photo is actually 2 things working together:

1. The ORGANIC clickable post (what you screenshotted):
This is a Facebook Page Shop Post.

Do this:

  1. Go to your Facebook Page > Meta Business Suite > All Tools > Commerce Manager
  2. Make sure your product catalog is connected (from Shopify)
  3. Click Create Post > Photo Post
  4. Upload your 4:5 model photo
  5. Before you publish, you'll see "Tag Products" - click it
  6. Click directly ON the bikini top in the photo > Select your Top product > Click ON the bottom > Select your Bottom product

Those tags become the little white bag icons. When someone clicks the photo, it pops up the $95 price like in your screenshot and takes them to checkout.

2. The PAID ad version (to run ads with clickable photo):

Once you make that shop post:

  1. Go to Ads Manager > Create > Sales
  2. Select Use Existing Post
  3. Select that shop post you just made with the tags
  4. Now when you run it as an ad, the photo stays clickable - people can click the bag icons AND click the whole photo to shop

If you want the WHOLE photo clickable (not just the bag icons):
In Ads Manager, don't use "Use Existing Post" - instead:

  • Create new ad > Format: Single Image > Upload same photo
  • Under Destination, set Website URL to your Shopify product page
  • The entire photo becomes one big clickable button to your store

Pro tip from their ad:
They tagged 2 separate products on 1 photo ($95 top + $95 bottom = $190 set). This doubles their AOV. You should do the same - tag top and bottom separately instead of one set.

Want me to set up the template for you? If you give me your 2 product names and your Shopify link, I'll show you exactly where to click to add the tags.
